Tigers look to 2016-17 Season
A positive season for the Tigers, managing to field a competitive second team who reached the final of the combination cup has provided the platform for the club to take the next steps.
The new director of rugby Tom James and Gloucester RFC coaching team of Billy Meakes & Dan Murphy have already planned their new strategy for the 16/17 season. Which starts with a fun but tough pre season,
“All the players will be technically profiled by Dan & Billy highlighting their strengths and weaknesses, they will also receive a fitness profile after pre season testing”. The aim of this is to give all the players an idea of how they can develop and maximise their potential and become the Ultimate Tiger. “We will then look at bringing in a clear tactical structure that gives our players a platform to play an exciting brand of heads up rugby”
Pre season will focus on games sense coaching where players are at the core of the decision making process but also a stringent development of core skills and fitness. The squad is strong and full of hard working talented players.
“We have vibrant social scene, a welcoming & friendly ethos and we would encourage anyone to get involved”.
