Volunteers

Volunteers are the lifeblood of the club, from the committee to coaches, managers, first aiders, referees and many more.

Open Positions

Below we have a number of vacant positions we are looking to fill. If you believe you can help support the club in one of the roles below, or in another area, please contact us at clubhouse@cheltenhamtigers.com

Former Players Association
Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a database of former players
  • Send news and updated with anyone that has played for the club, from M&Y, men or women and now touch
  • Organise a couple of reunions and events each year.
  • Work and liaise with Club Historian

Events
Organiser

3-5 positions

To help Cheltenham Tigers organise and deliver 6-8 regular events throughout the year, such as:

  • Early Season welcome party
  • Bonfire night and hog roast
  • Halloween
  • Christmas Party
  • Easter event
  • End of season – presentation day
  • M&Y BBQ
  • End of season parents and volunteers’ party
  • Summer Ball/Party

Club Coach
Co-ordinator

A recognised RFU role, you do not need to be a coach.

  • Liaise with and coordination of all coaches through the club.
  • Provide/organise specialist session, arrange coaches to cover illness/holidays.
  • Provide a database of coach’s qualifications and available coaching development courses and CPD events.
  • Liaise regularly with heads of men’s, women’s and M&Y sections

Admin
Assistant

To support the current secretary’s responsibilities, such as:

  • Submitting insurance / registration / end of year accounts
  • Ensure all statutory obligations are fulfilled
  • Minute taking at meetings

Volunteers
Manager

The club is predominantly run by volunteers from the Main committee, to coaches, managers, first aiders, referee’s, fundraising etc

  • To organise, and coordinate all volunteers, including supporting volunteers deliver in their roles, filling vacant roles and running of volunteer events.
  • Implement a volunteer recognition programme.

MEET CHELTENHAM TIGERS

We are a competitive rugby club providing sport for all. Our players start as Tiger Cubs (under 4’s) and play at all levels and ages up to Veterans, boys and girls, men and women, in fully inclusive environment, embracing all of rugby's core values.
