TEAM BIO
Cheltenham Tigers Women have been at the top of their game, dominating the Championship and setting the standard for women’s rugby.
Now, we’re taking things even further by expanding our Girls Rugby provision.
Girls of all ages are welcome to come along and start their Rugby journey.
Girls below aged 11 (school year 6 and below) can join their particular age group where they play in mixed gender teams under the RFU regulations. Find your age group on this website or contact clubhouse@cheltenhamtigers.com if you’re unsure which group is yours.
After Under 11s, teams switch to single gender and play in dual age bands. This means teams are Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18.
UNDER 12s & UNDER 14s
We are working with Under 12 and Under 14 girls (school years 7, 8 and 9) to deliver open access training sessions until the end of April 2025. No experience is needed, you can just pitch up & play. We focus on skills, fitness and fun. The first session is free and just £2 per session after that. Sessions are every Sunday at 13:00 – 14:00. Contact clubhouse@cheltenhamtigers.com to find out more.
In the 2025-26 season, our Under 12s and Under 14s will be working towards competitive match play against other Girls teams from Gloucestershire and beyond.
UNDER 16s
We are building support for our Under 16s team and the 2025-26 season will see this come to fruition. There is no better club to join for Under 16s and no better time to come onboard. You’ll benefit from first class coaching and support at a club with a clear pathway for you to go on and become the best player you can be. If you’re interesting in joining us, email clubhouse@cheltenhamtigers.com so that we can keep you informed of sessions ahead of pre-season.
UNDER 18s ACADEMY
Our 18s Academy bridges the gap from Youth Rugby to the senior Women’s game. You’ll work with our 1st Team coaches and senior players within a structured training program. Email us at clubhouse@cheltenhamtigers.com to express your interest ahead of the 2025-26 season.
TRAINING TIMES
Training every Sunday 13:00pm. Please check for updates with your team manager.
